I really enjoyed talking to all of the senior citizens!! it was so interesting learning about their lives and just chatting with them. I really enjoyed helping out, I felt as if I had a purpose and it was an amazing thing to be apart of. I also love cleaning, so doing all the dishes was a fun thing for me to be apart of!! the women who run it are also so sweet, they gave me food after everything was over and I really enjoyed helping out there, I defiantly will be back!!!!! such a lovely experience!!

On November 11, I volunteered at the Colfax Senior Meal Assistance. I left at 9:30 and when I got there I started off by cleaning the chairs and tables. I then helped sign seniors in as they came in, and collected money/donations they could give. I then helped serve food and lastly I helped clean up and do the dishes, I got back around 2-2:10
I helped clean the dining area, as well as dishes and helped set up utensils. Along with that I helped with serve the elderly and also mopped after and helped with the food. Once everyone had eaten I also helped move boxes of food and take the trash out, it was very rewarding to help the elderly out.

I got there at 10am and we started setting up meals and food, the seniors started arriving around 11:30 and I helped serve them until they all finished. Once they left I also helped with clean up including clearing tables, and sweeping and mopping. I had a great time getting to know some of the volunteers as well as interacting with some of the seniors.
