Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and Leadership 2021

Really enjoyed the event. They did a terrific job and I learned alot.

With about an hour of interactive training, I felt qualified to begin contributing to the transcription project. I appreciate that this is a project that I can come back to and continue contributing, whether for five minutes at a time or an hour. Reading documents about the lives of Black Americans in the years right after the end of the Civil War brought that history to life and reiterated what today's keynote speaker Clint Smith said about how that part of history really wasn't that long ago.
