About

The North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford has provided comprehensive services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1973, including a residential home for 150 people on their 220 acre campus. They serve 1,000 people in the region.

Their Oktoberfest event is a fun outdoor event with live music, games, and activities with their residents.

They're looking for around 15 volunteers to help with game stations, including basketball, cornhole, face painting, temporary tattoos 🤣, football toss, and bocce ball. An NMRC staff member will be present at each station, and volunteers must be accompanied by staff while on campus.

They'll also have kickball matches at 10 a.m. (NMRC staff vs. clients) and 1 p.m. (NMRC vs. First Responders). Volunteers won’t have responsibilities during the games but are welcome to watch and cheer if they have sufficient station coverage.
