About
If you enjoy working with seniors and have morning weekday availability, our Trike Club Assistant volunteer role might be a perfect fit for you! Our Trike Club Assistants are paired with Ghisallo Staff and need to commit to volunteering 1.5 hours once a week, usually from 8:45am-10:15am. This year Fall Trike club programming will run from October 6th - December 22nd.
As a team, we mentor and educate seniors as they become confident and safe riders that can explore their community on three wheels. At the core, our responsibilities to our Trike Club riders are assisting with program preparations, deployment, set-up, management, and load-out, providing in-person instruction, on-bicycle ride support and group management.
We are looking for volunteers that are enthusiastic about Ghisallo’s mission, and eager to get more people on bikes! You must be comfortable and confident riding a bicycle on roads (interacting with vehicular traffic), trails, and sidewalks with seniors and possibly those with adaptive needs. You must be comfortable working outdoors and moving bicycles and equipment (repetitive motions, up to 30lbs).
