Sweets & Staining

With our partner Sleep in Heavenly Peace (building beds for kids without them), we'll be staining beds from the 50+ bed build that we will have done on September 12th. 

AND... enjoying sweets and coffee from Panera :) 

We're looking for 15 volunteers who can show up at 8 am sharp and stay until 11 am. 
Kids and families welcome. That's how we do it. 

We’ll also need help loading up all of the beds at our storage unit the day before from 2-4pm. And then need help unloading all of the materials back at our storage unit likely from 11am-12pm the day of. This is not required to volunteer! But we will need help. If you're likely able to help at one or both of these times, please include your answers in your registration. 

The gathering will be at a cool location that will be shared with you once you register. Wear clothes and shoes that you wouldn't hate getting stain on... if that accidentally happens 😳 

SHP's mission statement is "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town" and our local chapters have built & delivered 350,000 beds for kids without them. 

Around 3-4% of kids in America are bedless, which is something that almost no one's heard. 

In only 5 months, our new local SHP chapter has built and delivered 72 beds :) 

In addition to serving kids without beds, this endeavor also serves the soul of the community, providing a powerful volunteer opportunity to build & deliver beds, build community, and grow in our service journeys.
