Bunks Across America bed build with Lowe's!

Lowe's and Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) are generously sponsoring a bed build for 50+ local kids without beds!

Your volunteering to help build these 50+ beds will help make them a reality for kiddos without beds. Afterwards, Lowe's is providing lunch for every volunteer :)

This event is a part of SHP's annual "Bunks Across America" event, where most of its 400 local chapters host bed builds the same week!

SHP's mission statement is "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town" and our local chapters have built & delivered 350,000 beds for kids without them.

Around 3-4% of kids in America are bedless, which is something that almost no one's heard.

In only 5 months, our new local SHP chapter has built and delivered 49 beds :)

In addition to serving kids without beds, this endeavor also serves the soul of the community, providing a powerful volunteer opportunity to build & deliver beds, build community, and grow in our service journeys.

Our Bunks Across America build is taking place on Saturday September 12th from 8-11 am at the Old Armory Pavilion, which is also generously sponsored by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.

We're looking for 40 volunteers, you can signup on this event page, kids are welcome (there's roles they can do), and no construction experience is required.

Yes, it's an Ole Miss gameday. But the game is at 6:45pm, so we've got plenty of time to do all the things!

We’re looking for 150 people sponsor the cost of a bed for $385 or $32/mo here: https://shpbeds.org/?form=FUNEGGZHUHM&CId=001Pq00000lAobm

And 150 people to sponsor the bedding cost (buying beds-in-a-bag) for $40: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/1FGS8HGSWARMX?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_ggr-subnav-share_Z1JNEAKX9QD3TAMJYTSA

If you'd like to explore serving on our leadership team (including as Delivery Managers), message Alex Cortes on this page.

And if your company/church/civic group/greek organization etc would be interested in sponsoring an entire build for your members to participate in ($5,000), message Alex on this page.
