About
Join the Red Line Parkway Initiative on Saturday, March 7 for the Spring 2026 It's My Park Day! We'll meet at 9am on the Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail just behind the Downs Mabson Fields, and mulch nearby trees along the trail. Mulch feeds trees as it decomposes and helps protect them during the hot summer months, so that they can keep growing and providing much needed shade for years to come.
This is an opportunity for folks of all ages to volunteer. If you have wheelbarrows or wagons, please bring them! We'll have refreshments, shovels, gloves, and mulch sleds. We’re grateful to Austin Parks Foundation for organizing this city-wide day of service!
The Red Line Parkway Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a vibrant trail and linear park along the CapMetro Red Line, connecting 36 miles of neighborhoods from Downtown Austin, Cedar Park, to Leander. Some sections, such as the Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail, are already open to the public and enjoyed by neighbors from all walks of life. Our goal is to unite partners and communities to plan, fund, build, and activate dedicated spaces for cyclists and pedestrians along the Parkway. This Parkway will provide car-free transportation options that are accessible to ALL members of the community, while fighting the effects of climate change.
Individuals under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult in order to volunteer.
