Texas Bamboo Society

Work with the Texas Bamboo Society to revitalize and maintain the bamboo groves in the Taniguchi Garden at Zilker Botanical Garden. Meet interesting people, enjoy time outdoors, and support beauty in your community! This opportunity is for garden volunteers over the age of 18 only, thank you.

This event could involve:

• Removing brush
• Mulching
• Weeding
• Pruning

Please arrive prepared to work outdoors with closed-toed shoes and a full water bottle. We recommend you bring a sun hat. Bring your own tools, eye protection, and work gloves to this opportunity. Eye protection is strongly encouraged and gloves are required.

**From June 1st to August 31st, the garden gate will open at 8 am and the event will begin at 8:30 am. When you arrive at the garden, show your GivePulse confirmation email to the gate staff at check-in to receive free admission for the day. Once you've checked in, please park in our volunteer parking lot, which is down a dirt road from the regular parking lot, marked by orange cones. Then, meet at the flagpole in front of the Garden Center Building.

If you need support ask the staff at the front gate to walkie and a staff member will help you find your group. Thank you for your support of the garden!
