Carpenter Art Garden Community Bike Sale Event- Multiday Volunteer Opportunity

Join us on May 27th- June 13th as we host our community bike sale! This special event goes far beyond a traditional bike sale. We’re inviting the community into our space to experience the heart of what we do- supporting local youth, growing fresh food, and nurturing creativity through art and connection. 

We are asking volunteers to come and help us as with our post event, day of, and post event volunteer opportunities.

5. Community Connection 

Volunteer Responsibilities:

1. Bike Sale Support

- Assist with setup and organization of bikes and equipment.

- Greet and guide interested buyers through available bikes.

- Help match each purchased bike with a helmet (gifted through donations).

- Pair each bike with a thank-you note or drawing created by the kids.

2. Garden Produce & Art Sales

- Set up tables and displays for produce and children’s artwork.

- Handle transactions and keep displays neat and replenished.

- Share the background of the garden's produce and the children's art with interested buyers.

3. Community Engagement

- Welcome guests and create a warm, inclusive environment.

- Provide informal “tours” of the garden, inviting people to explore and explain our mission.

- Assist teen workers who will be leading tours and engaging with visitors.

4. Hospitality Station

- Staff a refreshment area for guests.

- Offer water and snacks

5. Logistics & Support

- Help with event setup (tables, tents, signage) and breakdown.

- Distribute flyers or invitations to local businesses leading up to the event (optional pre-event role).

- Assist in managing foot traffic and maintaining flow between different areas of the event.
