Volunteers for Senior Tech Support, Boulder/Longmont

Volunteer to work with older adults in their homes or remotely, when possible, throughout Boulder County. We resolve basic computer, cell phone and TV issues. You must have strong problem-solving skills and beginner IT / Tech Support experience. Visit https://levelupseniortechbridge.org/volunteer to apply. We assign volunteers to clients based on the volunteers' skill set. We help clients with the following items:   

• Accessing Emergency Services with voice commands - Reviewing and demonstrating options with Google Assistant, Siri and other options.  
  
  
• Cyber Safety - Reviewing and demonstrating actions to take and features can take 30 to over an hour, depending on the situation.
  
  
• Technical Support Services - This is an as-needed service and can take 30+ min or be a conversation that spans several meetings over several hours, depending on the issue(s) being addressed.
  
  
• Backups and storage - Reviewing and demonstrating actions to take and features can take 30 to 45 minutes over an hour, depending on the situation.  
  
  
• Continuing  Education—This service examines all of our other offerings in depth. We also promote lifelong learning, as the Internet can be an excellent resource for stimulating the mind, staying engaged, and combating feelings of depression and isolation. In this program, we can deep-dive into all of our other programs.
