About

REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS EXTERNAL. Visit https://www.nyp.org/volunteer to sign up.

New York-Presbyterian, in collaboration with two renowned medical schools, Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is dedicated to providing the highest quality, most compassionate care and service to patients in the New York metropolitan area, nationally, and around the world.

NewYork-Presbyterian offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities across many campuses. Volunteers may work directly with patients or choose an assignment behind-the-scenes in clerical positions.

Requirements:

Application: Please fully complete and submit your online application, including a character reference. After submitting your application to the campus of your choice, it will be reviewed by a member of the Volunteer Services team.  Please note: a valid Social Security number is needed in order for any application to be reviewed.

Interview: If there is a volunteer opportunity that may be a good fit for you, an interview will be scheduled with you. Please note that the interviews will take place virtually (for most campuses) or in-person, as requested by the interviewer or interviewee.

Expectations:

Commitment: Volunteers are required to commit to at least one to two consecutive four-hour shifts per week, with a minimum commitment of six months to a year, as some opportunities may differ. Please note that the commitment at Hudson Valley is one two-hour shift per week.

Schedule: Assignment times will vary depending on campus and opportunity. If you cannot come in at your designated time you, will need to alert the proper supervisor and do a makeup assignment at an agreed time.
