Coastal Steward Long Island works to preserve and protect Long Island's precious marine environment through Education, Preservation, and Restoration.

Positions Include:

Beach Cleanups: Volunteers can help sign people in, provide materials and information to participants, and separate recyclables from non-recyclables.

Shellfish Restoration: Plant oysters, collect relevant data, help maintain their tanks, and finally help release them into the harbor! 

Outreach: Volunteers help table at events and spread the word about the organization. This is a great volunteer opportunity if you're interested in talking to people, learning more about Coastal Steward, and have ideas of how to reach a greater audience.
