Organization Impact: 

  • Touch point to  community and awareness of the harms of mass incarceration and alternative forms of accountability

Position Function/Goals/Deadlines:

  • Welcome and warm greeting to those who enter the AJRC office space

  • Direct individuals and orgs to resources and gather information for follow up from those that unable to assist at the same visit

  • Log in interactions with clients, the public, and orgs into the AJRC client sheet

  • Process AJRC mail, opening, scanning into system and alerting team to new arrival

  • Receive drop offs of packages or materials from the public and other orgs

  • Assist in updating the community space calendar for needs of use of those spaces

    • Help with the time management of groups using the spaces if overlap begins to occur

  • Assist in response to AJRC coalition correspondence

  • Assist in outreach to other organizations about upcoming events

  • Assist in outreach to organizations for tabling or participating in events

  • Provide Courtwatch forms as needed to folks and keep these forms stocked. Receive and file completed Courtwatch forms.

 

Time Commitment and Location of Work:

  •  Location will be the AJRC Office Space - 205 N College Avenue, Fayetteville, AR 72701

  • Office hours will be Mon-Fri 10 am - 2 pm.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Reliable presence at the office, would prefer a volunteer that can commit to a specific day and set time

    • Assist with back up volunteer coverage in event of missing office hours

  • Communicate interactions, issues raised, or concerns directly to the Program Director/ED verbally or via email.
