Volunteers for our foster program get 5 hours every day that they foster!

We ALWAYS need good foster homes! 

All our dogs live in foster homes, and the number of dogs we can save from euthanasia is exactly the same as the number of foster spots we have.  Fostering is a great way to “try out” life with a dog, to give your pets extra company, and also, of course, to save the life of a dog who otherwise would not make it.

We can use short as well as long-term fosters, and you can foster if you already have pets, if you have kids, if you work full-time, or if you are a student. 

We think there’s a perfect foster dog for everyone, and we will do our best to find one who fits well with your schedule, lifestyle, pets, and family.  We would be happy to answer your questions about fostering.  Please email us at foster@popb.org.

Many people don’t know that fostering is an option, so we hope you’ll share this information with friends, co-workers, neighbors, relatives, and other people you know who love animals, are responsible and committed, and want to help make the world a better place.
