Join the team at Zilker Hillside Theater in helping get the Hillside set up for performances, during the show and cleaning up after!
Duties vary, but may include:
- providing guest services
- monitoring crowd size
- light trash duty
- assisting with health and safety protocols
Volunteers are welcome to sign up for just one or both shifts per performance.
This is an outdoor venue, so volunteers should bring a water bottle and be dressed for Texas weather.
Parking is free on weekdays within the park. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays a variable parking rate of $3/hour/vehicle parking fee payable at park wide pay stations.
Saturday and Sunday volunteers can receive free parking with cast and crew near the Rock Garden on Andrew Zilker Rd. Volunteers will need to pick up a parking permit on Friday or Saturday at the Dougherty Arts Center (DAC) located at 1110 Barton Springs Rd before arrival. The DAC is open on Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-4pm and closed on Sundays. Volunteers will need to show their confirmation email to front desk staff to receive the parking permit.
Construction Notice: February 15, 2024–Spring 2025, public parking on the north side of Barton Springs Pool will not be available, and William Barton Drive will be limited to emergency vehicles, construction deliveries, and vehicles needing accessible parking.
