Be Involved Fair 2024 - Registration for Community Organizations

The Be Involved Fair is a signature Welcome event at CU Boulder designed to connect new and returning students with involvement opportunities on campus and in the community. This event celebrates involvement and kicks off the new year with a fresh start of exploring interests and making connections! Community nonprofits can sign up for a tabling spot by filling out the form connected to this signup. **Recognized student organizations, campus departments with involvement opportunities, and recognized Greek organizations sign up by clicking here.

Basic information and what to expect:

• The Be Involved Fair is a signature Fall Welcome event planned and hosted collaboratively by the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and the Volunteer Resource Center (VRC). Both of our offices are available to support students and offer programs and services all year round. 
• The event is a large-scale, outdoor, in-person, tabling event on CU Boulder's Main campus. Students can visit tables and connect with organizations directly at any time when the fair is open.
• The Be Involved Fair offers a lot of opportunities to learn and connect. Participation for attendees is self-directed and casual, with support to find specific organizations provided by signage and maps as well as volunteers and staff available to answer questions.
• Be Involved Fair is a zero-waste event

Time:

• Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM (the first week of classes for students)

• Check-in and set-up are from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for organizations who are tabling.

Location:

• Farrand Field on CU Boulder Main Campus

• Restrooms are available in surrounding academic buildings, and water stations to refill water bottles are provided.

• The weather is typically hot and sunny and access to natural shade is limited. 

• WIFI connection is spotty and there is no access to electricity on the field. No loud music, open flames, or glass containers are allowed.

Cost:

• The Be Involved Fair is open and free for all students to attend.

• Nonprofit organizations pay a fee of $30 to participate (this covers the cost of one 6' table, 2 chairs, and a parking pass to use on campus). If the cost is a barrier for your organization - please connect with our team.

• Recognized Student organizations and CU Boulder campus departments participate free of charge.

Tables, Chairs, Tents:

• Tables and chairs are provided and will be set up in advance. Organizations will be assigned to a section of the fair and will be directed where to check in and set up.

• 1 table and 2 chairs are the space allotted per organization. Please do not bring additional tables. Space is limited and accessibility is a priority.

• Tents are not provided but organizations can bring their 10x10 foot pop-up tent.

• Tents must be secured to avoid potential injury to attendees and people tabling. Tents must be secured with water, cement, or sand weights. No ground stakes allowed.
