The Peer Safety Project

Open Opportunity

About

The Peer Safety Project Team is recruiting undergraduate students from any college or major for our Lunch Buddy Mentoring program (PSYC 207v). We are recruiting undergraduates from any class standing (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors). Mentors eat lunch with an elementary school student twice each week and are required to have lunchtime availability for at least 90 minutes two days a week (which can be anytime between 10:00 and 12:45 pm). Mentors must pass a background check and provide their own transportation. In exchange, mentors receive 3 hours of course credit as part of a University Service-Learning Course, and invaluable experience for graduate school, law school, or professional work. For more information, students can contact Ashley DeLong at adelong@uark.edu
