About
In celebration of Black History Month, Howard University Biology students are pioneering a community of young black authors. This initiative, named "Legacies of Discovery," seeks to bridge the gap between the rich history of Black contributions to science and the next generation of young minds eager to explore the mysteries of the universe.
"Legacies of Discovery" is more than just a project; it's a movement toward inclusivity and representation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. The project aims to empower students to become authors, illustrators, and storytellers. Together, we will craft engaging, educational, and inspiring science books that highlight the achievements of Black scientists, engineers, and inventors who have shaped our world.
