Opportunities
- Learning Centers
- More than 1,000 children attend our free after-school and summer learning programs at 14 on-site Learning Centers. We focus on academic success, as well as fun enrichment activities. With our support the children and teens we serve excel at school and maintain a B+ average or above. We work closely with neighborhood schools and teachers to ensure students are meeting their academic goals and provide one-on-one support for the students who need it most. We also actively engage parents in their children’s education by encouraging their participation in our programs.
- Volunteers assist staff and help provide more individualized support to our students. Volunteers may provide academic support, enrichment activity support, and general classroom support. Our Service Learning students will work with elementary-age students.
- Tax Help
- The Tax Help program offers free tax preparation services to individuals & families in Central Texas.
- Volunteers work one-on-one with clients to prepare tax returns and ensure each person secures their full tax refund. Many volunteers call it their most fulfilling volunteer experience ever, and many of our clients rely on tax refunds for as much as a third of their annual income. The bottom line? You can have an enormous financial impact on the community simply by giving your time and skills.
