About
Friends of Copperfield Nature Trails Sarah, Cliff and Deana are teaching and doing ligustrum invasive plant removal in the Walnut Creek watershed on this Sunday after Thanksgiving and want help while burning off some calories from the feast. This work under CAPP 411 (Community Activated Park Project) helps native plants thrive in our watersheds, which is good for wildlife, is good for forest health, and good for us. All adult volunteers welcome, with repeat volunteers especially encouraged as we are growing our forest steward volunteer network. 16 and up accompanied by an adult also welcome. Sarah,
If it is less than 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside temperature or raining, we will cancel this event. Please RSVP so we have enough tools on hand for girdling ligustrum. Wear closed-toed shoes, bring your own gloves and water and dress to work (recommend hat, long sleeves, and long pants). Volunteers must sign the liability release waiver.
