About
Welcome to Turkey Rally 2023!
This year we are DOUBLING the number of stores we are collecting at!
What is Turkey Rally (TR)? TR is one of CHFB's biggest food drives of the year. Employees, Board Members, and Volunteers work together to ask Kroger shoppers to kindly consider purchasing items for those in need, and then donating those items (along with cash/check donations) as they leave the store. It is our job to then count those items, tally the number of turkeys and hams, and provide hourly updates to CHFB leadership and 21Alive News!
We have four, multi-hour shifts throughout the day at each location:
| Kroger 1125 W. State Blvd. | Kroger 601 E. Dupont Rd. | Kroger 6002 St. Joe Ctr Rd. | Kroger 5725 Coventry Ln. |
| 7:45 to 11:00 | 7:45 to 11:00 | 7:45 to 11:00 | 7:45 to 11:00 |
| 10:45 to 2:00 | 10:45 to 2:00 | 10:45 to 2:00 | 10:45 to 2:00 |
| 1:45 to 5:00 | 1:45 to 5:00 | 1:45 to 5:00 | 1:45 to 5:00 |
| 4:45 to 6:30 | 4:45 to 6:30 | 4:45 to 6:30 | 4:45 to 6:30 |
This is a great activity for those who love to be in the holiday giving spirit, don't mind talking to strangers, and like counting turkeys!
Thank you for your help with this! It is an indoors activity, but we will be close to the entrances of the store, so you may feel the chill! Best to be prepared with some warm clothing.
