About
Party for the Parks is Austin Parks Foundation's annual fundraising event, showcasing the best of the ACL Festival experience in an intimate and all-inclusive event. But we can't put on the event without the help of our amazing volunteers!! Volunteers will help with various set-up, event and clean-up roles in order to make the party a success for our guests. All volunteers are welcome to enjoy the festivities before and/or after their shift.
We will maintain the health and safety precautions put in place by ACL Music Festival. Currently, there are no restrictions.
Parking details
You may park in the lots along Andrew Zilker Road near Barton Springs Pool, they are labeled with signage ADA Parking Lot and Lots D & E. Walk along Andrew Zilker Rd and cross over Barton Springs RD at the crosswalk. Walk along Stratford to Lou Neff to enter the Park.
Check-in location details
Check-in will be to the left of the Lady Bird entrance to the ACL festival grounds on the corner of Stratford Dr. & Lou Neff Rd. At check-in, you will be provided a volunteer badge to identify volunteers during their shifts.
Volunteer Training
An email will be sent with pertinent information, those needing training will be provided the day of unless otherwise noted.
Dress code/what to bring
Pre-event hours, before 5 p.m., dress in comfortable clothing that you can move in. During event hours, any shift that is past 5 PM, wear comfortable clothing that is complementary to the guest attire. For example, nice shorts or skirts that fall at a length just above the knee or longer with a dress t-shirt or polo style shirt, or summer dress that falls just above the knee or longer. Since all tasks will require movement around the event footprint, please wear comfortable shoes such as nice trainers/sneakers or sandals. No high heels as they will make it difficult to walk in the grass + stay comfortable throughout the event. Some snacks and beverages will be provided but feel free to bring a water bottle and snacks.
Benefits
All volunteers are welcome to return or stay to enjoy the event BEFORE/AFTER their shift has ended. Please be sure to check out with the volunteer coordinator before leaving your assigned shift. Volunteers will have snacks and beverages provided. Dinner will also be available to volunteers after guests have gone through the lines. Any long shifts during the event will have the opportunity to switch out with other volunteers and/or staff for breaks.
