Little Walnut Creek Cleanup at Quail Creek Neighborhood Park

Join Keep Austin Beautiful at the Quail Creek Neighborhood Park to clean up litter from in and around Little Walnut Creek and learn more about how you can protect your local creek at 10am on Friday, May 19th!

We will provide cleanup supplies and rubber boots on site as well as sunscreen and bug spray. We will meet in the center of the park, south of the playground area - look for the Keep Austin Beautiful signage and event table!

Please remember to wear close-toed shoes and durable clothing as the terrain may be rough in some areas. Conditions may be wet as we will be working along and within the creek when possible; please dress appropriately! Long pants and a hat are also recommended. Be sure to bring a full water bottle and stay hydrated. For volunteers with limited mobility, it is recommended to stay along trails and pathways. This site may be somewhat challenging to traverse, especially as one moves closer to the creek side.

When arriving at the park, please remember to hide any valuables and lock your car before checking in. Parking is available streetside along Mearns Meadow Blvd. Carpooling is highly encouraged!
