This workshop includes methods and techniques for safely planning and installing a park trail.
Saturday 28th is a half-day trail project at Stephenson Nature Preserve.
Schedule: Stephenson Nature Preserve (10a.m. - 2p.m.) - Application of field techniques and trail repair.
Proper trail design and construction promote sustainable trails that maximize hiking aesthetics and minimize repair and erosion. Professional trail designers from S&S Trails Inc. will join us for the hands-on portion of this workshop, which follows the classroom session which was on Saturday December 3rd.
