About
Violet Crown Garden Club is excited to be hosting an official Roots & Wings Festival Event with Zilker Botanical Garden! The Roots & Wings Festival is held from Saturday, October 22, through Saturday, November 5, and is a community-wide celebration honoring Arbor Day and Monarch Appreciation Day in Austin. Join us in celebrating the Roots & Wings Festival on October 29 at 9 AM with Plants for Pollinators in the Children's Garden. Registered volunteers will help plant native and pollinator friendly plants to enhance the Children's Garden at Zilker Botanical Garden. Tools, plants, and help from expert gardeners will be provided. Activities are appropriate for age six and up with parental supervision. After our work is done, there are plenty of other fun activities going on at Zilker Garden as well as self-guided garden tours. More details will be sent to registered volunteers. The Roots & Wings Festival is brought to you by the City of Austin and community partners. Learn more and find additional events at www.rootsandwingsfest.com. Message us through GivePulse with questions you may have about this event.

Hello! I am signed up for this event (along with my son) with Generation Serve. We were required to sign up for the event on this site as well however I see that this event is listed as full. Can someone advise on next steps? Thanks so much

Thanks for volunteering ya'll! If event is full when you try to register, consider joining the wait list as there are always volunteers that have to give up their spot and cancel. Or explore Give Pulse for other wonderful and worthy volunteer opportunities, including many more at Zilker Botanical Garden.
