Spanish Interpreter Volunteers

Health Brigade provides exceptional health services to those least served in a caring and non-judgmental environment.

Health Brigade is looking for Spanish speaking interpreters for our Medical and Mental Health Clinics. Our ideal candidates possess the below qualifications:

·         Fluency in conversational Spanish and Medical Spanish

·         Academic background in Spanish

·         Has lived/worked/been significantly immersed in a Spanish speaking country/environment

·         Has cultural knowledge in addition to vocabulary

·         Has certification or is working toward certification

·         Is willing to be supervised, trained, and allows for personal growth

·         Is willing to work with Health Brigade to improve cultural competency

·         Can commit to at least one four hour shift per week for a minimum of six months

We understand many students may not meet each qualification, please reach out to us to discuss your experience and skills. We provide general agency training and training specific to the medical interpretation field. Virtual and in person opportunities are available.
