About
Join us for It's My Park Day! at Gus Garcia Park and Rec Center in the heart of Northeast Austin!
We plan to have multiple projects: constructing a flower bed around the Little Library next to the rec center, building bird houses, creating flow pollinator house(s) for native solitary bees, constructing benches and picnic tables and distributing mulch. Our park site is extensive and we will also need helping hands to pick-up litter around our area. These are the perfect projects to earn volunteer hours :)
We'll be providing snacks and water as well as gloves and trash bags. We encourage all volunteers to wear closed toed shoes and dress for the weather that morning.
