About
PCUN is looking for bilingual folk (Spanish/English) here in Portland that could assist one of their attorneys on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few hours during their clinic. On Tuesdays you would get to be involved in assisting immigrant workers on related issues, and on Thursdays you would help with the open clinic. Strong Spanish proficiency is recommended as the conversations will include legal jargon and could potentially involve individuals whose first language is not Spanish, (Indigenous languages, for example). This is an amazing opportunity to get involved with advocacy and legal representation that help our vulnerable neighbors here in Oregon. You are not required to volunteer for both days or even weekly, but any assistance you could provide on a somewhat consistent basis would be immensely appreciated.
A strong proficiency in Spanish is recommended. Some people you may be serving may not speak Spanish as their first language.
