    Scholarship Session #3 - Thursday

Discussed how to prep properly for transferring to your 4 year college, make sure to have chosen the colleges and have a back up just in case, I also learned how expensive the tuition is for colleges like Morgan state or UMD. I learned a lot about people during the ice breaker and met some new friendly faces during the event.

The event was very enjoyable and memorable, the set up and the valentines event went well, everyone was able to make bracelets for themselves and their love ones, the clean up process wasn’t long and very easy.

Here are the notes that I listed that was discussed during the meeting.
I learned how to become a self starter everyday, choosing success over easy satisfaction.
Be prepared with everything and always have a plan.
If you amount yourself to something small then your mindset would also be the same.
Gather friends that can build you up for the better.
Do not base everything on luck, Create your on luck by working hard and being smart.
Definition of Luck according to Mr.Heat, "Luck is where preparation meets opportunity".

The first workshop experience was very exciting and engaging. At first I felt that I needed to attend DMSI because of the Scholarship program, but after the first meeting, I want to attend DMSI workshops. Mr. Heat, Mr. Ross are very helpful and inspiring motivators that engage me to lead and become a better man.
