Our Aggies Abroad group volunteered at the Lung Cancer Initiative’s Lunge Forward Triad 5K Run, Walk & Celebration, held at Country Park in Greensboro, NC, on Saturday, October 5th. The event was dedicated to raising awareness and funds for lung cancer research and support programs.
As volunteers, we assisted with registration, event setup, water stations, and cheering on participants throughout the race. It was an inspiring experience to be part of a community event that promotes health and supports those affected by lung cancer.
Reflecting on the event, our group learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and staying organized in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. We also gained a deeper understanding of lung cancer’s impact and the significance of supporting initiatives like this.
We received positive feedback from the event organizers on our group’s contribution, and it was rewarding to see the direct impact we had on such a meaningful cause. This experience has motivated us to continue participating in community service projects that make a difference.

Aggies @ North Carolina A&T State University
This impact is in reference to Admitted Students Day at North Carolina A&T State University. As ambassadors for the Office of International Affairs, members of Aggies Abroad's e-Board were responsible for setting up and packing up their booth. More importantly, volunteers were able to inform families of prospective students about study abroad opportunities based on programs, providers, and majors of study. This was an exciting event as student have just recently regained the ability to study abroad since the start of the pandemic.
