Participated with my mom in ARISE2Read. This is a program offered by Bellevue Baptist Church to read to elementary students in order to improve reading comprehension.
Cleaned the Highway 64/Country Wood area (where my parents live).
Got together with friends and picked up trash around my neighborhood (little residential area between Southern and Park).
Cleaned up trash around neighborhood with more friends
Annalea and I moved into our neighborhood in May of last year. Since then, we've noticed the trash that litters the streets around our house. We decided it would be good to plan a day to walk about the neighborhood and pick up trash. We didn't anticipate staying out so long, but we had a great time walking about the area, talking, and making our community cleaner and prettier. Later, we actually planned other dates and invited more people! It was a ton of fun to clean up the streets with some friends.
