Hot hot hot outside! So gave the cistern flower garden and vines and lantana by the compost bins a drink of water needed on a hot summer day.
Got to chat with other gardeners also "enjoying" the heat.

Hard working group inspired me to stick it out through the heat and we got that mulch pile done and given to the trees. Ice cold water, snacks including Kind Bars, music and knowing more trees will be healthier while we worked rewarded us. Really fun group: as we got closer to noon the comedic and singing talents in the group became apparent to cheer us on. I'd share a joke with you, but I think you just had to be there to really get it.
Our APF leader has good taste in music and did a great job leading us through the work day.

SFC provided an interpreter for improved communications with our gardeners from Myanmar for today. We shared information and worked together to get the compost turned, water the community garden area, mow, trim hackberry trees, install a sign, weed the pollinator bed, and more!
