CAPP 411 ligustrum management with Sarah
Storm water drainage marking in Copperfield neighborhood. Solo. friendly neighborhood cat appreciated at one storm drain. A little too thrilling when one car speeding past on Thompkins (passenger in car also looked a bit nervous). Thank you to City of Austin for providing supplies!
invasive plant CAPP 411 project with Sarah and Cliff
lovely and productive day with garden volunteers accomplishing so much between us all including: turned and harvested compost, watering, picked up trash in and around outside of garden, shed clean out/tools sharpened, greenhouse clean up, grass in pathways groomed/pulled, snacks and seeds shared, future social event discussed, and more!
Invasive plant work for CAPP 411 plus trash from Peggotty trail entrance and more trash along Dessau Road at Walnut Creek Bridge.
2 bags of trash and 1 bag of recycle, to home trash and recycling cans (thanks Super Sarah for taking a bag and helping with CAPP 411 project).
Took a side exploration down Copperfield Trail at the bridge south of Shropshire and got a few more pieces of trash and enjoyed exploring amazing plant varitety. Still really hot out there!
hot out still or would get a higher rating. watered burr oak, fig tree, passion vine, compost, tito veggie beds and adjacent blackberry vines. chopped up some of the larger plant items in compost, picked up and dumped in bag of coffee grounds to compost. and took down "for rent" sign as we are now taking wait list applicants only.
except for the heat, we had a wonderful event and great group of volunteers. Honored to have YMSL North Central Austin join us for this community Give Back.
