Clean Lady Bird Lake

Greetings volunteers! Thank you for volunteering for Keep Austin Beautiful's Clean Lady Bird Lake event this Saturday, December 8th, 2018! You'll be joining hundreds of volunteers at 25 locations around the lake to give some extra care to the lake and trails. You have signed up to participate in the Shoreline - Live Love Paddle led by Austin Coolers Dragon Boat Team cleanup. All ages are welcome at this site with adult supervision, Just as a reminder, this is a shoreline cleanup and does not involve boats. Your Lake Leader for this site will be CJ Wainwright with Austin Coolers Dragon Boat Team and she will have your cleanup supplies, helpful safety guidelines, and further instructions for you. Event Details Date: Saturday, December 8th, 2018 Cleanup Time: 9am-11am Starting Location: Live Love Paddle Dock (30.246823, -97.729526) Things to Bring: a FULL bottle of water, weather appropriate clothing, and ample sun protection (Sunscreen is also provided if you forget!) We'll Provide: Cleanup supplies, snacks, drinks, and a prize for the most unique object found at your site! Keep an eye out for unusual pieces of trash, as there will be a contest for the "Most Unusual Object" at the end of the cleanup! If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your shift at your earliest convenience to re-open those spots for registration. Join us afterwards at the Barton Springs Saloon for a happy hour hosted by Cascade Blonde American Whiskey from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Games, cocktails and a food truck on site!
