| Description | Greetings Volunteers, we’d like to thank you for volunteering for Keep Austin Beautiful's Clean Lady Bird Lake event. You'll be joining 100+ other volunteers to give some extra care to the lake and trails. You have signed up to participate in the Austin Rowing Club waterway cleanup. A watercraft will be provided to you by Austin Rowing Club so there is no fee associated. **Please note that if you do not arrive by 9:15 a.m. on the day of the cleanup, you will automatically forfeit your spot on the lake and it will be offered to the next volunteer.**
Your Lake Leader for this site will be Aubrea Rudder and she will have your cleanup supplies, helpful safety guidelines, and further instructions for you. Event Details · Starting Location: Waller Creek Boathouse (74 Trinity Street, Waller Creek Boathouse, Austin, TX 78701) · Parking: Please note that there is no parking available at the boat house so you will need to find street side parking or a spot at the Mexican American Cultural Center. (600 River St, Austin, TX 78701) · Things to Bring: A FULL bottle of water, snack, and your favorite face covering! Join us at Roy G. Guerrero Park Plaza after the cleanup for some sweet treats and an outdoor lounging space provided by REI. We will be stationed at the park from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. and would love to hear your stories, as well as connect you with other volunteers to attend future events with so come on out! |
