| Description | Welcome to the Barry Urban Garden! The Barry Urban Garden (BUG) is a community agriculture initiative that will provide organic produce to low-income residents of Miami neighborhoods that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has categorized as urban food deserts. Participants can expect to weed, harvest, water, and other general gardening maintenance activities. Meeting location: Barry Urban Garden - The Garden surrounds Powers Hall facing North Miami Avenue and NE 111th Street. Meet at the back of Barry Urban Garden, by the wooden benches. Required: Closed toed shoes Recommended: Comfortable clothes, hat, and a water bottle |
