About

The Explore! Ross Community Center After School Program is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children ages 5 to 12 (Kindergarten through 5th grade) can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The program emphasizes social-emotional learning and offers enriching experiences through community partnerships in reading, athletics, music, and more helping children build confidence, creativity, and essential life skills.

Community partnerships are at the core of our mission, playing a vital role in mentoring and supporting students. By guiding students through free play, assisting with homework, modeling positive behaviors, and participating in activities, community partnerships create meaningful connections and foster a sense of belonging for every child.

This program not only impacts children but also empowers future educators and youth workers by offering opportunities to develop essential soft skills, such as adaptability, patience, and leadership while working with diverse age groups and backgrounds. The small group setting provides a unique and rewarding experience for both students and volunteers, creating a nurturing space for everyone to thrive.
