About
The mission of Thread Together is to use crafting to bring students together in a way that serves others! In this organization, we will share skills such as crocheting, knitting, and needlework with the UAB student body, using them to create items that will benefit the underserved within the Birmingham community. This organization will do this by making items such as beanies and stuffed animals to provide joy and support to children and their families in their battle with cancer and by making garments such as socks, scarves, and others to provide warmth and comfort to the homeless. Additionally, this organization will encourage students to hone these skills by crafting unique items that challenge and develop their abilities. We hope to provide a space for students to destress and take a break from academics through the development of these fun and creative hobbies.
