About
EcoAdventures offers MDC students the opportunity to engage in meaningful volunteer service and academic service‑learning while supporting Miami‑Dade County’s parks, natural areas, and community programs. Through hands‑on activities, students help create memorable experiences for local residents by contributing to well‑designed, accessible, and engaging parks and open spaces guided by the County’s Parks and Open Space Master Plan.
Students may assist with year‑round recreation programs for children, adults, and individuals with disabilities; support spring and summer camps; or help with after‑school activities focused on fitness, wellness, nature, science, and the cultural arts. EcoAdventures also plays a key role in maintaining the beauty of our community by caring for median strips, road shoulders, causeways, and transit corridors.
This partnership allows MDC students to learn, serve, and make a visible impact on the environment and the community we share.
