About
The Movement Against Educational Inequality (MAEI) at UAB is a group of students who want to help fight educational inequality in Birmingham city schools as well as hopefully expanding to other cities in the future.
Education is essential for the growth of all persons, so we want to help fight educational inequality by mobilizing UAB students to tutor all grade levels, in any subject, including but not limited to reading, writing, mathematics, science, and standardized tests like the ACT and SAT. Another objective we have is to provide schools resources and materials, such as cleaning supplies, art supplies, games, clothes, and food drives through donations and fundraising. The goal of MAEI is to fight educational inequality from all angles. We can’t wait to get started working with you guys and are extremely motivated and committed. When would be the best days and times for us to come?
