About
The Community Food Bank is in need of food and hygiene items to serve the people of Pullman, Washington and outlying areas. This volunteer opportunity involves collecting food from the Pullman, Washington area and bringing the donations to the Community Action Center food bank during our donation hours on Thursdays from 2PM to 3PM and Fridays from 9AM to 11AM. This is an activity that the volunteer plans and executes on behalf of the food bank and not and activity that the food bank itself holds. After registering, please email DeanB@cacwhitman.org with information regarding when and who is conducting the event. Registrations will not be approved until this is done. To host a food drive, please contact Community Food staff at foodbank@cacwhitman.org and we can help you plan the event and pick a drop off time.
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.

Can you only do this if you are near Pullman? I am in Kitsap County.
