When the earthquake struck Panama on October 9, 2026, families suddenly found themselves facing fear, uncertainty, and urgent needs. Homes were damaged, daily life was disrupted, and people who had already been living with very little were left facing even greater hardship.
For these families, help cannot wait.
At Quenara Foundation, we began mobilizing our emergency response within 20 minutes of the earthquake.
Today, our local team and trusted field partner are on the ground in Panama, reaching affected communities, delivering emergency assistance, and working closely with families to understand what they need most.
We are especially concerned about the people who may struggle the most to recover without help.
Children who need safety, food, and reassurance. Older people who may have nowhere else to turn. Mothers and women caring for their families under extraordinarily difficult circumstances. Pregnant women, people with disabilities, and families who have lost access to the basic necessities of everyday life.
These are the people at the heart of our response.
Our teams are working to provide essential relief, including safe drinking water, food, hygiene supplies, blankets, temporary shelter materials, and basic household necessities. Donations also help us support local transportation, emergency logistics, and the continued delivery of assistance to families who need it most.
We are not watching this emergency from a distance.
Our people are there. Our local partner is there. Together, we are working to bring practical help, comfort, and dignity to people facing one of the hardest moments of their lives.
And we need your help to continue.
Your donation is not simply a contribution to an emergency appeal. It is an opportunity to help a child feel safer, ease the burden on an elderly person, and give a struggling family the reassurance that they have not been forgotten.
Whether you can give $10, $25, $50, or more, your kindness can help us continue reaching those who need assistance.
Our commitment is to act quickly, work alongside local communities, and use every contribution responsibly to support the Panama earthquake response.
