About

Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Through Service

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is an annual university-wide event which takes place every January to give UNCG students an opportunity to be introduced to different parts of our community while honoring Dr. King’s legacy through service. Participation is free for UNCG students, faculty, and staff. Volunteer teams will be led by a student facilitator and transportation is provided from campus. We hope this day sparks your interest to continue to learn and serve in the Greensboro community and get involved on-campus and locally!

Requirement Details

All participants MUST be current UNCG students.

**If you're registering as a part of a group**
  • Every person that wants to participate must have their own registration. When asked how they would like to serve, indicate they want to serve as a “group/organization,” and where prompted to “share the name of the group” write in the group name.
  • Please make sure every registrant uses the same group name so we can have the most accurate headcount possible (meaning, please use the full name of your group AND the acronym in a parenthesis). Using a different/inconsistent group name may result in getting placed separately.
Due to Covid-19, this event will have the following protocols:
1) Participants must follow any COVID guidelines required by the community partner.
