About
The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia Volunteer Department functions on a needs-basis for our distribution program. As needs change and evolve on an almost daily occasion, the Volunteer Department assists the Food Bank in any area of need. Volunteers who sign for this position are offering any assistance that the Volunteer Department needs.
For these events listed below, we cannot promise the planned activities will be accurate for the events of the day as we operate on a needs-basis for our programs and other departments. If a more urgent need is raised for a different program or department, volunteers will assist the Volunteer Department staff to provide support where needed.
As a reminder, we do not offer court-mandated community service hours for volunteer work.
First-time volunteers should always review our Volunteer Page to review any updates and Covid-19 regulations, as well as to read through our Volunteer Handbook, which covers instructions for events, dress code, programs, and submit our New Volunteer Survey. This event is not open to those ages 16 and younger.

Requirement Details
Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes at all volunteer events and follow the dress code, listed in our Volunteer Handbook. Volunteers not in dress-code will not be designated hours or permitted to volunteer.

Carpooling is strongly encouraged when possible due to limited parking. Upon arrival, please visit the main lobby through the glass door. Enter the door labeled "Volunteer Department” where you will be greeted by Volunteer Department staff.
