Berean Outreach Ministry Food Distribution Volunteer

Berean Outreach Ministry distributes food, hygiene and basic necessities to the Atlanta Community  and seeking volunteers to assist with daily operations including bagging and sorting food for distribution to clients, loading groceries into the clients' cars, breaking down boxes and keeping the work area safe and clean. You must be comfortable being outside and standing up to 4 hours in good or inclement weather.

Ideal Candidates: Individuals with great attitudes who are passionate about volunteerism, community members with flexible schedules, high school, college and graduate students who need to complete community service or internship hours, and individuals that are not in COVID-19 high-risk groups.

Transportation: Transportation will be provided for all registered volunteers. Please meet at the Leadership & Service office located in suite 475 in Student Center West 30 minutes prior to your shift start time for transportation to the service project. 

COVID Policy: As we plan for and prepare for projects, we are keeping safety as a top priority and following CDC and WHO guidelines. We ask that if you have been sick, travelled, or been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 in the last 14 days you do not sign up for the project. Our team is taking extra precautions and have masks and gloves that must be worn, and hand sanitizer at check in. If you are in a more at-risk demographic for COVID-19 (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/specific-groups/high-risk-complications.html) we would ask you to consider not volunteering at this time.

If you are not comfortable being in groups of 10-12 at this time, this opportunity is not for you.
