For Team member:
Boy With A Ball works across the world with young people to develop them as leaders who will turn and transform their communities, we work in communities and schools, with businesses and churches, and as we go out, we live our incredible stories-stories of the life change and communities rising. As important as it is to do our work, it is also critical to tell the stories. Boy With A Ball's Communications Team is a group of creatives who are excited to use their unique gifts to impact the lives of young people across the world. Whether you are a writer, designer, photographer, or overall creative, join our team who works to tell the Boy With a Ball story.

For Interns:
We are looking for an intern who is excited to put their creative and communications skills to practice! As a communications intern, you will work closely with the Director of Communications as well as our Communications Team to execute the many communicative efforts of the Boy With a Ball, including video production, social media managing, writing, editing, and more!

As a communications intern, you will work on a communications team and "specialize" in an area that is specific to you. Specializations can include videography, photography, writing, editing, and design, among other things!

  • Work to create content with innovative narratives and messaging across BWAB websites, digital and social media, audio-video, mobile, print, and other platforms that connect BWAB to audiences
  • Help to affirm the voice of BWAB's brand through a variety of marketing channels and platforms
  • Actively participate in creative briefings to develop and execute creative concepts
  • Participate in Boy With a Ball Global's Communications Team to plan and create creative content
  • Work in Boy With a Ball's local programming in San Antonio

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or related area.
  • Excellent skills in any area of communications: videography, photography, writing, editing, to name a few!

This intern's supervisor will be Sergio Gonzalez

This position includes an in-depth orientation and training component and then, weekly planning and debriefing sessions to reinforce, retain and strengthen the position. As an internship, the position is crafted around leveraging the time involved to provide significant training and education toward the intern's future.

All interns have weekly meeting with their supervisor including planning and debriefing as well as reinforcing areas of learning for the intern.
