is a camping and mentoring experience offered through the Family Justice Center that provides children living with domestic violence and trauma a pathway to hope through team building, evidence-informed programming, and high adventure, challenge-by-choice activities. The program includes year-round group mentoring activities (Pathways) as well as a week of overnight camp in August. The week of Camp HOPE is hosted at YMCA Camp Weaver in Greensboro. Volunteer HOPE Counselors must commit to serve as leaders and mentors for youth ages 7-15 for at least one semester in order to be considered for the week of Camp HOPE. Volunteer counselors stay overnight in the cabins with their campers during camp, and are paired up with a YMCA Camp Weaver counselor.
